I love PHP, it has provided a quick and easy rapid development environment at the enterprise level. For anyone doing rapid development or forward looking work you have to choose PHP. Even for more standard development processes, it's still a great tool providing glue between your java applications and C/C++ libraries. Sure, you could this with JNI but come on that is a fair amount of work, and even more to get it working in your OO environemnt.
