Perl pushed the envelope on language design. Later efforts may have been less ideosyncratic, e.g. python, but, hey.
Perl6, if you've been following the summaries [perl.com], P6 will raise the bar yet again.
I just wonder if this parrot chassis underneath will permit something as groovy as Boost.Python [boost.org].
