KDE 3.2.2 Released 22

An anonymous reader writes "The KDE Project today announced the immediate availability of KDE 3.2.2, a maintenance release for the 'advanced and powerful free desktop for GNU/Linux and other UNIXes'. The new version provides corrections of problems reported using the KDE bug tracking system and enhanced support for existing translations. Mirrors found here."

    I just compiled 3.2.1 this weekend!!! :)
    • Jeez, keep up with the times, will you! I mean, how hard is it REALLY to keep a local copy of the CVS tree on your local hard drive and recompile every night from there? Sheesh!

      (And the sad thing is that, although I'm joking, this isn't too far off of what I actually DO....)

    Man, Gentoo over a dialup connection has its drawbacks! And I don't want to even think about the update to OpenOffice that just appeared in portage.

    On the plus side, I do get to try out every last point release of gawk and grep.

    • Stop complaining! At least you're not using Debian, like I do. Even Debian Unstable is still at ... Hey! I'm already using KDE 3.2.2, and I haven't even updated today! Well, at least the editor Kate is still at 3.2.1.

      Wanna compare grep versions? Mine is at 2.5.1.

  • Can the KDE Desktop be made to run on Windows, using the available X Servers and maybe MinGW?
    • Umm, why not just run it on Linux instead? Or if you didn't want to install Linux on your machine, why not just use a CD-bootable Linux distribution like Knoppix?
