Qt Developer Days 2012 Videos Released 9
Via Planet KDE comes news that the videos from the 2012 Qt Developer Conference are available on YouTube. This joins the slides released in late November. It looks like there's some pretty interesting stuff in there.

The swishy, dumbed down, phone-esque UI emphasis is a little tiresome, but the widgets still exist and Qt 5 even includes a complete new cross-platform amalgam style called Fusion. You are welcome to give the widgets some love if you wish.
wish there was a mini qt framework (Score:1)
qt is awesome but, if you need something they don't have (like intermediate certificate support), tough luck. 3 years in bugtrack and counting.
also, i wish there was a mini version, the binary blob is huge and sometimes i just need basic functionality and would really like to save on space.

The framework is already split up among several libraries, and will be split up even more for Qt 5 (due before the end of the year).
As for not having everything and the kitchen sink, that's a good thing. Not every widget needs its own embedded email client :-)
